Gamer uses game training to save life

Paxton Galvanek, a 28-year old rescued the lives of two people from an upside down SUV using his virtual training from playing video games. Galvanek safely removed both victims from the vehicle and treated their wounds which also included in the loss of two fingers.

He has no medical background. The only training he's received is from the game 'America's Army'. The game is developed by the U.S. Army to promote it's military. It takes players through the virtual life of being a soldier and as a army medic.

If you did think that playing games was a waste of time, think again. Just choose your games well.
