Swiss company Rinspeed Inc. has invented 'sQuba', a car which can run on both land and water. The car is to be unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show next month.
The car move even at a distance of 30 feet below sea level. A wet suit however is required as the car has been designed as an open car so that it's occupants can escape in any emergency. It can travel at a speed of 77 mph on land, 3 mph on the surface of water and at 1.8 mph underwater. Also to prevent waterlogging, the combustion engine has been replaced with several electric motors.
It is said that the company CEO Frank Rinderknecht got the idea from watching James Bond's "The Spy Who Loved Me" which involves a scene with such a car in action.
